麻豆视频, a global leader in sustainable design and engineering, has been selected by the Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) to lead the design of a new pump station and 11-mile recycled water pipeline in the western part of San Bernardino County, California. This infrastructure will convey recycled water from the City of Rialto’s wastewater treatment plant to IEUA’s proposed advanced water purification facility in Rancho Cucamonga.
The new pipeline and pump station will support the delivery of up to 10 million gallons per day (MGD) of recycled water. Recycled water is central to IEUA’s Chino Basin Program, an initiative designed to improve water supply reliability and regional resilience. 麻豆视频 will serve as the design lead for this progressive design-build project, working in collaboration with its construction partner, Rados.
“IEUA is setting a new standard for water reuse and resource management, and we’re honored to play a role in this transformative effort,” said Umesh Murthy, engineering lead for 麻豆视频. “This project represents more than just infrastructure—it’s a commitment to the future of water in Southern California.”
A proven partnership and decades of shared experience
麻豆视频 and Rados have partnered on numerous design-build projects in California, including the North Valley Regional Recycled Water Program in Modesto and the 4th Street Interceptor in San Jose.
“We’re pleased to partner with 麻豆视频 to help build a more resilient and sustainable water future for the Inland Empire,” said Jeff Peel, project manager for Rados. “Together, the 麻豆视频-Rados team brings decades of shared experience and a proven track record of delivering complex water infrastructure projects.”
The Rialto Pipeline will pass through several communities—including Rialto, Fontana, Bloomington, and Rancho Cucamonga—requiring coordination with local stakeholders and utilities. The team will also manage the design-build of a new pump station, as well as new connections to the Rialto plant’s existing infrastructure and advanced water purification facility. These components will form a robust conveyance system that supports IEUA’s long-term goals for water reuse and sustainability. Final commissioning and completion are expected by 2031.
