New Zealand Tier 3 Data Centre Design

One of New Zealand’s leading telecommunications and digital services providers set out to expand the capacity of their data centre campus from 12.3 megawatts of power to 75 megawatts. They engaged our team to help.

We provided core building services, including hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, security, information and communications technology (ICT), and sustainability. Our role involved serving as both the design manager and building information modelling (BIM) manager. By coordinating internal and external team members across multiple locations, we were able to achieve a cohesive outcome that balances reliability, efficiency, and future growth.

Our digital engineering specialist guided the team in achieving our client’s defined digital objectives. This included including using BIM for design review, complex 3D coordination, and infusing models with asset data to assist in the full project life cycle beyond design and into construction.

The result is a data centre campus designed to not only meet today’s demands but scale with the needs of tomorrow, supporting New Zealand’s digital resilience in a sustainable way.
